About Mourning Post

Welcome to The Mourning Post and thank you for visiting. If you are visiting for the first time, let me take a moment and explain what The Mourning Post is about. This site is designed for you to visit and create memorials for those that are deceased. You may search by name, location, or tag or simply browse the globe and visit memorials around the world.

Download from iTunes

As you visit these you will see photos, read obituaries, sign a guestbook, leave a note, even send flowers to the family, and you may even learn of events and accomplishments throughout that person's life.

If after visiting the memorials, you feel you want to pay homage to someone special, then click on the create button to begin. You will be asked to register so that you can manage and edit the memorials you create.

The Mourning Post would also like to invite you to download The Mourning Post iPhone application for FREE from the iTunes store. Click Here.

In Lieu of Flowers

If I fly into the shadows hidden from your view In lieu of all the flowers that may have been my due.

I would want for all who love me, for all who say they care, to keep me in their memory and visit with me there.

To cherish every moment together we had shared than all the flowered wreaths could show how much we cared.

So, in lieu of all the flowers which soon will fade to bare keep me in your memory and visit with me there.
